The history of the world's largest outdoor rodeo and western celebration comes alive at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum. A premier cultural and historical center in Southeast Wyoming, the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum offers members and visitors year-round programming, exhibits and activities that celebrate the heritage and pioneer spirit of the American West and the thrilling history of the world's first extreme sport.

Marvel at one of the nation's largest collections of historic horse-drawn carriages and wagons, experience the nation's most celebrated western art exhibitions and trace the history of Cheyenne Frontier Days from it's humble beginnings in 1897 to the world renowned pageantry today as The Daddy of 'em All. See the evolution of the rodeo clown into today's modern day bull fighter in our newest exhibit Bullfighters: The Risky Road to Glory.

The Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum is located in the Northeast corner of Frontier Park at 4610 N. Carey Avenue, in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Children's Winter Workshops

The CFD Old West Museum is offering educational workshops once a month on Saturday mornings from 10am-12pm. The workshops are only $10.00 per student. AGES 5-12

Students will look at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Miss Frontier exhibit and learn about the unique history behind this celebrated CFD character and create a beaded leather purse that is signature accessory to the Miss Frontier Buckskin.

Western Spirit Art Show and Sale
– Western Perspectives
Through the Western Spirit Art Show and Sale students will get to tour the show and create a piece of work in conjunction with the exhibit. Students will be asked important questions and such as: What is the west you live in today? How has the glorification of the west affected your perspective? What images come to mind when thinking of the west?

In conjunction with the Museum’s exhibit of Denver Post Cartoonist Paul Gregg, the Museum will present Saturday Morning Cartoons! Students will tour the exhibit and illustrate their very own cartoon.
