Robyn Cook
Growing up in Missouri on a small farm in Ozark, Robyn Cook was always outside riding my horses. If she wasn’t riding, she was drawing. She use to spend hours looking through books and magazines and always admiring other artists’ work and knew that one day she wanted to be an artist. Being self-taught has made it a rather long and challenging experience, more than she would’ve imagined and she still has a lot to learn. That challenge is what keeps her trying harder every time she starts a new drawing. She wants to find a way to do a better job than she did the last.
Although Robyn has always been known for drawing horses, a few years ago, she started drawing PBR bulls and that has been a very interesting experience. Trying to capture their personalities and attitude has been so much fun. Plus, she likes to add a little humor to their portraits when she can. she wants to make people smile when they see my drawings. Robyn recently won Best in Drawing at the Cheyenne Frontier Days, Western Spirit Show in 2022 for her drawing of PBR bull, Cochise titled, “We Need to Talk”.
Most of all, Robyn has met some wonderful people and made many new friends in this career. That has been more rewarding than anything else. She's always looking forward to the future and what will happen next!
