Rules of Engagement
JUMP THE GUN
Opening Night Attendees and Proxy Buyers may purchase artwork prior to the first draw for a premium price (regular price + 25%) starting at 6:00 pm on July 16, 2026. This is a popular event for those buyers who cannot live without a piece of artwork, keeping them ahead of the lottery system of our regular purchase. Ask the salesperson to fill out a sales slip and take it to the cashier. Jump the Gun buyers receive an additional tax deduction on top of the standard 35% rate.
Please note that all artwork is sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
THE DRAW
Opening Night Attendees and Proxy Buyers may enter their name into the drawing for the artwork of their choice. Ask the salesperson to help you fill out the intent to purchase slip and put it into the drawing box next to the corresponding piece of art.
Winners are drawn at 7:00 pm and the intent to purchase slips will be labeled in the order they are drawn. The slip drawn first has the first right of refusal to purchase artwork up until 7:20 pm when the second slip drawn can then claim the piece. Winners will fill out a sales slip from a salesperson and take that to the cashier. A copy of the sales slip will be given to the winner; buyers must fill out the shipping agreement at checkout.
PROXY PURCHASE
Buyers who are unable to attend the Opening Reception in person may purchase through either Jump the Gun and/or the Draw via their Proxy. In order to Proxy Buy, you must submit a Proxy Application to the Museum Offices by July 15, 2026 at 12:00 pm. There is a $200 non-refundable Proxy Application Fee. Proxy Application
PUBLIC BUY
Starting at 8:00 am on July 17, 2026, the general public may purchase artwork online or by visiting the Museum during normal operating hours. Each purchase made is 35% tax deductible. Public Buy will end August 9, 2026.
