Michael Albrechtsen grew up camping in the Rocky   Mountains of Utah and developed a great love for the outdoors. He now lives in Kansas and has found that he also loves the plains' beauty. He's always in awe of God’s creations and tries to convey his emotions and passion for the places he paints. He has sold paintings around the globe and has been fortunate enough to win awards such as The Arts for the Parks, Oil Painters of America, and others. However, he feels his greatest accomplishment has been painting large murals for Mormon Temples; this has always been a goal of his and has been an extreme blessing to his family.
