Daniel Hachard
Daniel Hachard is an American artist born in France in the 50s who grew up in Paris influenced by all major art movements, new wave cinema and western classics.
His style is rooted in the art form of popular comics of the 50s and 60s with an illustrative approach of unblended colors that uses the graphic codes of both comics and midcentury pop art. His unique and fresh contemporary illustrative Pop Art style for western themes has been described as both innovative and captivating.
After studying international business and commercial art, he moved to New York in the 70s to work in advertising design where he discovered the art of Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol with whom he later contributed to product design and advertising commercials.
He has worked as senior creative art director for major US and International Consumer Goods Companies like Nestle, Max Factor, Vidal Sassoon and Procter & Gamble, and often collaborated with Disney’s Imagineering Department and with the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
He is an artist member of the Studio Channel Islands and the Ojai Art Center in Ventura County in California. He lectured students at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and is an alumni of the Art Directors Club of Los Angeles and of the Design Management Institute.
Daniel Hachard regularly exhibits his work at sold out western art shows from California to Wyoming.
