Linda Renaud
Linda Renaud’s journey as a second-career artist has been anything but ordinary. It was during a challenging time, facing breast cancer, that she found my true calling. Linda became the “artist-in-residence” on the chemo ward, and that experience ignited a serious commitment to her art. “Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to painting professionally in watercolor wax batik, a medium that allows me to express my passion for wildlife and the natural world.”
Creating her paintings involves a significant amount of preparation before the first brush touches the surface. “It’s a process that demands mental energy and meticulous attention to detail. Each piece is a major commitment, and I’ve learned that good things take time—these works don’t happen quickly!”
“I feel a strong responsibility to draw attention to the incredible creatures that share our planet. My art aims to raise awareness, as understanding how we live impacts the lives of all creatures. I hope to inspire others to appreciate and protect the natural world.”
Teaching watercolor wax batik is another joy of her, allowing Linda to share her passion and techniques with others. She has been fortunate to participate in juried shows and has received recognition for her work, which is always a delightful surprise.
“Ultimately, my art is about connection—between the viewer and the beauty of nature, and between myself and those who engage with my work. I invite you to join me on this journey, celebrating the wonders of our world together.”
